Under that tree he was setting watching the waves
He looks very old, sad, and lonely

(She was sitting in the dark crying so loudly
holding an old photo next to her heart ,
it breaks my heart seeing her like that
and without any hesitation I was there next to her )
Smile . smile, my friend keep your head high
Let me see your eyes laughter I will take your pain away
I know life sometimes can be a hard teacher
But there is always a garden full of beautiful dreams out side
Do not be afraid let your tears wash your fears
I am here I will never turn my back to you
Give me your hand , I can hear the nights sweet song
Flowers are dancing ,
children are playing
and the moon is waiting
so lets go my dear friend there is nothing here to hold on

A place


It is almost noon when a sad, tired young woman arrives to the park )
She is holding a map, she looks as if she is searching for something,
she walks to the nearest chair and sit and after
a while an old woman comes and sit next to her)

Hello my dear (the old woman said)
Hello (the young woman response)
You are not from her my dear, are you? (The old woman ask)
The young woman did not response immediately
her mind was obviously else where

Are you looking for someone dear? I can help you if you want
,
I know everyone here(the old woman said)
No, I am just looking for a place. (The young woman response)
I am her in this place since I was born I never left this area before
tell me what is this place looks like,
I will help you (the old woman said)
Really I am looking for a place , a very special place



Will you help me to find it, please? (The young woman said

Of course dear, can you describe it for me first? ( the old woman said )
Oh I will , I will ( the young woman seems as if life return to her again

Ok, tell me then what does it look like?
( the old woman looks very surprise of this change ,
the happiness she notice in her voice make her decided
to do what ever it takes to help her )
This place my friend is......
( the young woman start to describe it in a poetic way

Where good things happen for no reason
Where love cannot be replaced
Where spring roses never die
Where happiness never hides
Where neighbors never fight
Where dreams become true

but my dear I never heard of such a place , are you lost my dear ?
( the old woman looks very Worried now )
Are you ok my dear? The old woman asks her a gain
while she is looking to the young woman eyes
Oh I am ok why is everybody keep asking me this question
(the young woman said with a voice full of pain)
Because there is no kind of such a place (the old woman said)
Oh,
please don’t tell me that, don t look at me like this, I am not crazy
(the young woman start crying)
Oh hush now, I know my dear you are not crazy
(the old woman said and she wishes to do anything to comfort this young lady)
why don t you come with me to my house
I will make a delicious meal for you ( the old woman said )
and when she saw the sad look in her eyes the old woman
added: and you will tell me more about your special place
(The young woman nodded with her head as a sign of acceptance)
Ok then (the old woman said) lets go,
you will love my house it is small but it is so beautiful and
I am sure you will love my family too.
The two women leave the park holding each other hands
The sun now start to say good bye to these two women
and to everything,
the birds, the light and even to life itself with
a bright promise ( I will be back

The patriot

In their old house, Ahmad and his mother
spent their last few hours to gather
before he joined the army , talking about Ahmad s childhood
and his old dream of becoming a soldier

I have to go now, mom " Ahmad said "

Oh ,Can t you stay dear, just for this night? " The mother whispered"
I wish if I can, but I have to join my troops tonight ". Ahmad said
"
With his last word a wave of tears cover her face she could not hide her fears
any more she could not bear the idea of not seeing him around

" Please mother don t cry.. I don’t want to see your precious tears,
I wanted you to pray for me , mom " .Ahmad said




"I will always pray for you my dear son ,
. My Allah bless you and keep you safe " the mother said "
She hold him too close," oh dear I wish if I can hide you inside my heart,
I wish if I can stop this stupid war".
His mother is getting so angry now
she is squeezing him so hard
,
Why….? ' Why son..? " She was trembling , "
He could not understand what did she mean and
before he responded to her questions she
added
Why do Muslims fight each other?" they are Muslims. Aren’t they ? She said
"

"They are not real Muslims mother, they are killing innocent people,
they are destroying people s properties and our religion
is not like this . it is the religion of pace, love and kindness

And their bad actions put our country in danger ,
so we have to fight them "
Ahmad said

" May Allah watch you and protect you, you and your friends,
my son "the mother tone change,
she looked very proud of her son now.
She knew that he and his friends will do their

best to keep her and other people safe ,
so she should let him go.

"Take good care of your country son and
I will be here waiting for you." She said

" I will, my mother, and please don’t worry
and take good care of yourself" .
Ahmad kissed her hand and left

She watched him leaving,
and her eyes followed him,
she stand there for a long time before

she noticed that he was gone

When it is too late to say sorry


The scene was taken place in
A small beautiful home on an old town) )
Sara was so young to know the meaning of the word death,
the feeling of losing some one so special,
her eyes were following her mother moves,
and she could not understand the way her mother acting today.
She looked very sad, tired and her eyes were full of tears
Sara was about 7 years old, and she was the only child of Nora and Sami
Mom, why are you crying, are you sick?.
Sara said in a low voice
Oh no honey I am not sick. Nora said while her eyes were staring at the door
Oh if I could see you for just one more time,
her words were so loud, she could not hold her tears any more
Sara ran to her mother and holds her so close
"moms please don’t cry everything is going to be ok.
" She tried to wipe her mother's tears with her little fingers
but her tears were like a wild river, it refused to stop

Mom, please, stop, "Sara start to cry, too
hush, now baby I am really sorry " Nora isTrying "
To comfort her child now
What is wrong mom, why are you crying" Sara said with"
Her crying voice"
While they were talking Sami entered the room,
his eyes were searching for his most precious women in his life
He could notice the sadness in their eyes, tears were covering their faces
Sara was the first to notice her father presences
"Daddy," she ran to him
"How are you dear, are you ok" Sami leans over, kiss her forehead"
I am ok. But mommy", she was crying all the day"
It is ok, honey ; she is not feeling very well today.
His eyes were watching his wife sadness;
he turned his eyes now to his daughter and said
"Sara honey could you bring a glass of water to your mother please"
"Ok, but please, make her stop crying" then she ran to the kitchen
Sara, are you ok?"
Sami asked

She raised her eyes to meet his eyes," No I am not ok
He was my father Sami,
he was there for me all my life but I was not there for him
when he was needed me most"
How can I live with myself,
I was so selfish to let him die before telling him how much I loved him
Oh Sami if I can hold him for one more time"
I will never let him die before telling him how sorry
I am for not being a good daughter"
Sami "hush now, I am sure he knew how much you loved
him even if you did not say it in words"
"Oh , dear , sorry seems to be now an easy word to be said
but it is too late now is not , oh dad ,
