First lecture :

Language is complix and abstract . When we say language we mean all languages and theoratical linguistics study that and we will analyes that by breaking it in a small units trying to understand it .

* Componant = system

* Language is consist of 4 componants ( subsystems of language )
which are ( syntax , phonology , morphology and semantics )

* language is multi systematic because it consist of many subsystems

* core = the middle center
Hard core = the basic , solid and the opposite is periphery
Which mean compined

* we have 2 fields put together : sociolinguistics , psycholinguistics which are not basic

* lingustic relationship is one way = it mean when 1 unit affect 1 unit

* how many cross systematic relationship ?
Thousand
We have it because this relationship across the boundaries of one system and get to the other boundaries of another system .

* cross = through

* linguistics is more than a grammer

* Systematic = rules are governed = things will be controlled # breaking rules or vaiolate

* every aspect of language is governed by rules

* language terminology must be used because this is the only way to know linguist and distinguish us from the non linguist on every field

* there is no need to repeat theoratical , chomsky choose to say linguistics

* the sentence is ungrammatical because the speaker has violated some of the rules of that language

* scientific = means depending on science while scientific study it study and follow the rules and it guidline the science and it allwayes in the position of intuition

* intuition = feelings , you express your feelings depending on facts

Grammer could be = theory , language and syntax
