Lorraine Mondial Air Balloonsis the largest hot
air balloon gathering in the world.
In 2011 it gathered a record of 343 balloons from
67 nations for ten days. Lorraine Mondial was established in 1989
to serve as a demonstration event, a show,
a competition and tourism promotion.
It is carried out in the months of July / August,
every odd year in an area of 500 acres,
in the heart of Lorraine Nature Park in France.
