In Japan, Kagawa Prefecture and Niigata Prefecture have the most famous annual "Straw Art Festivals" to celebrate
the end of rice harvest
Large straw sculpture are made out of dry
rice straw and put for display to thousands of visitors
Japan isn't the only country with straw
art tradition: Croatia, too, has annual straw art festivals.
