Hi ,every one my name is Simon and I'm a photographer. I want to tell you about my specialty which is photographing food for cookery books .My interest in general photography started when I was a child. My parents always took photos of my brother and me on holiday when we're visiting my grandmother in Italy .I hated being in front of the camera and always wanted to be taking the picture instead. My grandmother was a wonderful cook . of course she was concerned about the quality of the food but she also thought about how it looked in a plate. I started taking photos of the meals she gave us and it was in Italy that I also photograph food in street market . I like to believe the story behind every picture. And I always tried to imagine the life of those ordinary people going about their daily life, Shopping for food in their local neighborhoods. I decided that photography was going to be my career. And I went to college to study photography. After I had graduated, I didn't want to do the usual thing ;take picture of weddings , children and worst of all peoples 'pet . I wanted to do something different thing with my skills. and You guess it! I wanted to photograph food. I set up my own company and made contact with different publishes . I got work photographing a lot of things from food to bread from magazine's advertisement and restaurant menu .But my big break came when I got the job doing all the picture of for vegetarian cook book. all the recipe had photo to illustrate them . The reason I love photographing food is that eating is very social activity. My favorite project up to now was not the one that make me most money, that was a celebrated cook book called Top People . The project which gave me a great feeling of achievement was called food love and it all about food family cook for special occasion.
