and why do you want to do so? Aren’t you happy with your own accent,


believe me my brother, it is so funny when a non-native English speaker like us try to imitate native speakers and talk the way they talk??

however, there is a big debate on which is the native language that really represent the English language, of course no one could tell, therefore it is a matter of preference.. moreover, do you believe that many people in countries like India, Pakistan, Nigeria and some other countries consider theselves as native speakers of the English language

We are happy with being saudies,,& more happy with being arabs..the more I study english the more I dislike it..
Talking like native speakers is necessary. Perfction has been always a demand even if it is unattained.
there is no such a saudi english accent, unless if you regard the accent of Indians when speaking Arabic is proper arabic ..keep in your mind that we are capable of MASTERING english since arabic language has all the sounds…then you have to master the intonation,,,here ,,,try to listen to native speakers & study phonetics ..
a friend of mine suggested talking in english whenever you stay alone, i personally couldn't do it..

the key is to listen again & again & again..........

try to concentrate on the non-arabic sounds like p, v , j....

also you must pay attention that in english , r is deffirent than in arabic , for it is lighter

at last , strees perfection makes all the deffirence!!!!

Hi , In my point of view, I think God creates us with a cabability of doing any thing we want and even imatating others, otherwise we cant reach our goals and dong so
so try by all means to watch more foreign films especilly non translated ones and try to liste the way they speak inorder todo like them

أنا رايي ماراح تضبط معاك الـ accent بطلاقة الا اذا كان الواحد متعملها وهو اصغر من 10 سنوات وهذه معلومة كلنا نعرفها بس اكيد الواحد يحاول يحسّن الـ accent قد ما يقدر ..

مو شرط تكون طريقة تعليمية بحته ممكن نتعلم في الحياة تتكلم مع شخص أجنبي وهذه تحصل مع اللي يدرسون بالخارج كثير بالنسبة لنا هنا نحاول نتكلم مع الاجانب / نسمع تسجيلات أو حتى ممكن من متابعة الأفلام ( ولو ان هالطريقة مكروهه من الغالبية لأن ثقافات الأفلام مختلفة ) بس هنا نتكلم عن الـ accent / ممكن اللي يتابعون الدوري البريطاني يتابعونه بتعليق اجنبي < هذه الطرق ماراح تساعد كثير لو كان الواحد يبي يتعلم قواعد أساسية أو مصطلحات بس احنا هنا نتكلم عن الصوت وانا حبيت اضرب أمثلة تخدمنا حتى لو ما كان الهدف الأول منها التعليم ..

عالعموم اختلاف الآراء لا يفسد للود قضية وفي النهاية هو مجرد رأي شخصي ..

وبالنسبة للأكسنت فعلا ترجع للشخص زي ماتفضلت.

و لو تلاحظ معي ان اللغة العربية محتويه على اغلبية الاصوات الموجودة باللغات الاخرى, فتجويد القران والتركيز على الحركات الاعرابية والتنوين اسباب قوية في ان تكون اللغة العربية هي الاجدر من ناحية الأصوات.

Hi brother, i really thank u for this issue.This subject has attrracked me for many times.However, ive asked so many well experinced people and they guided me to the best way which is........and ........
The first is:Reading........reading is very impotant and can help u to build up ur vocabulary and gives u lots of chuncks that natives can use them in speaking.u may ask reading is very boring"BUT U HAVE TO CUSTOMIZE URSELF IN ORDER TO DEVELOP UR LANGUAGE".M
belive me my friend reading is the best way that helped me alot to develop my speaking.
SECOND:u may wonder "one hand cant clap"the other hand is listening"the more u expose to the language the more u learn"this idea ive got it from my preffoseor in the university"listening also is a good way to enhance ur accent"and i remmber this proverb"if u want a thing well done do it ur self"that mean u have to listen toooooo much and do that alone and try to figure the strange words

Yes, it is easy to speak like American or British .

I swear to God that I speak to so many people from all over the world

they think that I am American guy but I am proud 2 be Saudi.

i guess,if someone wanna learn other languages ,willy nilly,he/she has to imitate,imitating is not abuse.Then speaking in saudi accent is poles apart with english accent,there are so many letters in arabic accent which you can not pronounce

thatswhy, imitate them as the friends say listen then

before memorizing any word ,memorize the pronounciation of the word so as to be like a native one
