Salam to all the lovely members in our little cozy home

Here I'd like to share my new poem with you all, I composed it last night

It's kinda an imaginary story of a scene of a very tired old lady I found lying on a sidewalk of a street

So when you read my lines, you will find out what happened to her

You will notice that this poem is different in comparasion with the previous ones, coz there will be a kinda conversation between that lady and me, so I will put it in two different colors

A Tragedy of An Agony

By: Khalid

A skinny body in need of care
Of a helpless lady lying down there
Can't move a muscle, she could hardly talk
With a profound sigh as though of a squawk

Tears of distress, her eyes express
Nonetheless, you'll be impressed
By the heartbreak she endures
Of a world exceedingly obscure

She got nowhere to go, she can't struggle
Only the pavement is her shelter to snuggle
What made her life miserable, you will see
When you read what occurred between her & me

I sat beside her, looking into her eyes
Like she's trying to smile but in disguise
Madam! Tell me your tragedy what happened?
As I'm here to help you, it is not your end!!

In a few words, that will tell you the truth
You will hear a matter which is uncouth
My son left me on demand of his wife
She told him " Get her out of our life"

So he threw me out without any care
How could he do it how could he dare
He forgot the nights I spent awake
Just to warm him just for his sake

Alas, one day he will be reciprocated
Then he won't forget what he mistreated
Take it easy! Let me take you to a safe place
Where you can rest, to let your grief be displaced

Son! Just leave me here, I got used to it
I'm not gonna make it, I will stick to it
.
.
.
She emitted her last breath,.. she DIED
Yet, with a smile mixed with a bleary-eyed

Silence prevailed in me, I got immobilized
I broke into tears which I couldn't keep inside
O God please! bless her soul, forgive her sins
And domicile her Paradise, Amen…. Amen

I hope that you like it

oh my god I wished it ended in different way
With a happy ending
Really very touching and very common tragedy that we see it repeating over and over
Thanx for sharing such beautiful poem
And my knowledge in poetry does not allow me to criticize but I don't think that anyone can criticize such writing

How cruel the son is

How could he forget all what she has done for him

Such kind of people don't really know the meaning of parenthood

Great poem as usual .. that evokes emotions inside of you

there is a question I wanna ask

Is that what really happened ?? 0

:(

What a sad reality of life

I think her son will regret his deed for the rest of his life

Well sister, as the title of my poem shows the purport of it, so it should have such end

As you siad, we see, hear, and read such tragedies happening over and over

!!!Dear sister, read what you have said about such kind of people

So if you need an answer for your question, I will tell it didn't happened but I imagined that

but believe me and take my word

there are many true stories worse than what my poem shows

I remember one story happened at the Eastern region here in Saudi Arabia, had been posted by my brother TTR in another forum long time ago, you won't belive it

Thanks sister for your words and thanks for passing
