Find a person to write a letter to it can be someone in another country , another city , another school, or even in your class . Get the name and address of the person.

Think about your reader so you will know what to write. Make notes about your reader , including age , sex , nationality , and hometown . Add anything else you know.

Gather ideas and information you want to write about .Look back at your self-introduction ,make lists , write notes , and look through your pictures , scrapbooks, or diaries.

Select your ideas and write a draft of your letter . Try to use paragraphs to show the breaks between topics . Use time – order words and spatial – order words if you need them .
