One time

A couple has lived happily with each other. A
neighbour asked them why they can live happily for such a long time, and this is what the husband told him.
"In our honeymoon, we rode a camel to travel around an ancient city. Suddenly, the camel stumbled. My wife smiled gently and said "one time". The camel stumbled the second, and my wife smiled again and said "two times". The poor animal made the mistake the third time and my wife immediately shot it with a shortgun. I was very angry and criticized her. She smiled gently and said "one time".

In the Hejaz Area newly wed-grooms are advised by their male friends to be tough with their brides since day one. They would tell a groom to be stern and kill a cat at the wedding night to plant fear and respect in his bride's heart. Of course, no one ever did that to the best of my knowledge.
