The General Aims of Teaching English for Intermediate sStage

1- To give pupils a foundation for the secondary English Course.

2- To enable pupils in the real world using English.

3- To give them about (1500) of the most useful words.

4- To give a clear understanding of the basic tenses for past, present and future.

5- To teach them the basic grammatical structures of English.

6- To Enable them to speak (ask, answer, questions, give description…etc)

7- To enable them to understand what they hear on variety of topics.

8- To prepare them to read simple texts by themselves without depending on the teacher for explanation or translation.

9- To enable them to write a simple guided paragraph of linked sentences.
