It is unquestionably that the first word in the first verses in The Holly Quran is the word read. However, unfortunately people in the Arabic world do not read. It has been estimated that a person in western countries read about 50 books a year and here I do not mean the intellectual or professors while here a
person read about 5 books a year. Wow it is a huge difference is not it?
We can also notice that from forums in the internet that some members do not read the topics which are posted in the net. They just write some words such as (thanxxxxxxxxxxxx or whatever in order to raise
their points in forums and they really do not know what is going on
Some people say that if I want to read I had better to read Quran those people forget that our prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) was uneducated but he always urged and encouraged people to learn.
To sum up if we want to be better we should read more

are concerned about this HUGE issue and there is an
awareness among our citizens of the importance of reading

You have done a great job . Thanks for that . Yes, as you have just said that reading was the first thing revealed to the prophet Mohammed (PBUH)since he was getting Himself used to worship Allah alone in Herra grotto . That means that reading is an important matter for all human beings .However , most of us nowadays are not interested in that and if it happens and see that they show interest , they care about little things which are considered non important kinds of reading . thanks alot for highlighting that . It is sure an interesting and beautiful topic

Hi , rose rani
u really bring up an important topic
a lot of people think that reading need a speacial time

to increase our information
I will not say that I'm a great reader

Brvoo my dear
You know something !
This is one of the most problems which faces us everywhere in the net
People just don't read !!
Some are just lazy
Good topics and important issues can't be discussed properly
because most of the members pass by to say the magical word of disapointment
"Thank you "
and it'll die in no time
Sharing views is enriching but dares to do it
Bless you sister for such a crucial issue

Hi, Rose [SIZE="5"]
Rani!
What a very important topic you gave us!!!
I looooooooooooove reading. In fact, I have my own liberary in my room and I use it all the time. Have you ever heard about a person who goes to a bookstore on Eid? Well, Nice to meet you!
I think that I must be grateful to Allah then, to my dear mother who had always encouraged me to read since I was a child.
I think that if we taught our children to like reading, this will be the first step towards fighting the lack of readers in our country.
:small (314):
Thanks for the important topic!

Hi everybody,
sometimes I like reading and sometimes I don't
But I assure that reading is very important for all people adult, young or even children.
I don't forget this non-Arab man when I was on a plane before 2 years .
He was old . He was holding a book in his hand during the trip. He was sleepy . He try to sleep but if he cann't he opened his eyes and directly read something from that book.
Really, I was amased and I hope to like reading and read more and more.
Finally, reading is like a sea full of various benifits.
