Read the following passage carefully, then answer the questions below :
Marco Polo was born in 1254 in Venice, Italy. In 1271, he travelled to Cathay, China, with his father and uncle. They went from Venice to the Kingdom of Georgia. When they reached Hormuz on the Arabian Gulf, they wanted to take a ship to Cathay. They found ships to be unsafe so they travelled by land. They took three and a half years to finish the 5600- mile- long journey. In 1275, they arrived to the capital of China. The Polos stayed in China for 17 years. They collected a lot of money and became very rich. Maroc Polo finally arrived back in Venice in 1295. The sea journey took two years and many people died on the ship. A few years later Marco Polo wrote his book," The Travels of Maroc Polo" . He died in 1324 when he was 70 years old.
