Hello:
I would like to know what to say if I want someone to open the book ¿on? a certain page.
"Open your book on page ..." is what teachers have always said to me, but I have just read that this is not correct, that we should say "Open your books to page ..."
Which form is the correct one?
Thanks.

While we normally use "Open the book to Page 3", it actually means "open the book and turn the pages till you reach page 3"
However when the instruction is a command and is expected to be performed as a single actitvity , the more precise English is "open your Book at Page 3", meaning thereby that you complete the process of opening the book and now do what is intended at Page 3.
So I feel the context of what is to be done is more important and use of the appropriate preposition "at" or "to" is context sensitve
Well, judging from the posts in the thread the consensus is that you can use "to page x" or "at page x", but not "on page x". Which you use is your decision, and may be governed by where you work
that what i understand after making a research

it's really confusing but if we practise more ,we'll understand more
well,it's most commonly used to say
"Open the book to Page 3"
// "open the book and turn the pages till you reach page 3"
that what our teachers usually say
Sorry if i did not explain well
