Teach English with games:
NUMBERS
Fun game to work with numbers
Have all your students stand up. The first student says ONE, then the second TWO and so on. As soon as a student makes a mistake he or she has to sit down. And you start again until you only have one student standing up
GUESS WHAT IT IS
You can revise yes/no questions.
You need cards with words like : apple, mouse, kitchen, teacher, etc
One pupil chooses a card and then the class has to ask questions
Is it an object? a person? Is it something you can eat? Drink? wear? Is it a sport? Can you ... ?
WORDS IN CHAIN
A bit like the game with numbers. Kids are standing up and have to say a word. The second pupil have to go on. In the end they have to create sentences and why not a story
DICTATION and DRAWING
Good activity to check on oral comprehension!
On a piece of paper, your students have to draw what you tell them
PICTIONARY
A student draws something on the
blackboar but not to quickly so that
the others can imagine what it is. Maybe it is ......
MAGIC BAG
Good activity to revise there is/ there are + yes/no questions + I think, maybe, (there must be)
Put differents objects in a bag or a box. Students have to
ask you questions to find what is in your bag.
MEMORY GAME
Show many objects (on flashcards) to your students. They
have 30 seconds to memorize them!
NAUGHTS and CROSSES
You need FLASHCARDS
With this game you can revise vocabulary, grammar,
numbers, dates, etc
You can divide your class into two teams
