A Case For Concern
by Tara Kenway
I was having a discussion with a student about what it was like when he was at school; if
he liked it, if he disrupted lessons, etc. He laughed and said he disrupted lessons a lot.
"We waited until the teacher said a certain phrase and then we all dropped our trousers!"
he said.
"You did what?"
"We dropped our trousers! It made a lot of noise." Now he was laughing even more.
:smile (55)::smile (55):
"You're sure it was your trousers?" I asked, pointing at my own.
"Oh, no!!! Not trousers! Pencil cases!"
The word 'pencil case' in French is trousse and he'd mixed the words up!
.
Luckily, Tara Kenway’s student didn’t expose anything more than a lack of English
vocabulary!

What about you ? What did you use to do in order to distract your teacher from the lesson
Were you a naughty little child or a pure little angel , always quiet and polite.
