In their old house, Ahmad and his mother spent their last few hours to gather before he joined the army , talking about Ahmad s childhood and his old dream of becoming a soldier
I have to go now, mom " Ahmad said "
Oh ,Can t you stay dear, just for this night? " The mother whispered"
I wish if I can, but I have to join my troops tonight ". Ahmad said
"
With his last word a wave of tears cover her face she could not hide her fears any more she could not bear the idea of not seeing him around
" Please mother don t cry.. I don’t want to see your precious tears, I wanted you to pray for me , mom " .Ahmad said
"I will always pray for you my dear son ,. My Allah bless you and keep you safe " the mother said "
She hold him too close," oh dear I wish if I can hide you inside my heart, I wish if I can stop this stupid war".
His mother is getting so angry now she is squeezing him so hard
,
Why….? ' Why son..? " She was trembling , "
He could not understand what did she mean and before he responded to her questions she
added
Why do Muslims fight each other?" they are Muslims. Aren’t they ? She said
"
"They are not real Muslims mother, they are killing innocent people, they are destroying people s properties and our religion is not like this . it is the religion of pace, love and kindness
And their bad actions put our country in danger , so we have to fight them "
Ahmad said
" May Allah watch you and protect you, you and your friends, my son "the mother tone change, she looked very proud of her son now. She knew that he and his friends will do their
best to keep her and other people safe , so she should let him go.
"Take good care of your country son and I will be here waiting for you." She said
" I will, my mother, and please don’t worry and take good care of yourself" . Ahmad kissed her hand and left
She watched him leaving, and her eyes followed him, she stand there for a long time before
she noticed that he was gone
To our brave soldiers ; thank you
