What is the origin of the word `nightmare'?I

I used to laugh at my friends when they talk about their nightmares till I had one myself

It was Awful, Terrible, Horrible, and scary. Words can never describe how scary it was
I cried out loud and shouted, I remember that I couldn't go back to sleep that night haha anyways
yes Satan or Evil or Jin *whatever* is involved in this matter
and I believe we call it Jathom if im not mistaken

excited, i really enjoy them, some nights i open new parts of my nightmare world and explore them other times i revisit places i have been previousley in nightmares, its very intresting and exciting, and Yes i have also died in my dream looool, very awesome

I think it's the natural protection of our body so we don't hurt ourself while we are sleeping. it's perfectly natural

it's depend on the situation ,once i feel the nightmare unpleasant i want to wake up as soon as possible but, if the nightmare pleasant and i realized that i'm not in a real world i enjoy with that dream ....sometime laughing without reason during the nightmare

O.K i really can't do any thing i tried alot to scream to move from my place but all my efforts in vain so i just started to read the islamic supplication for sleep & some verses of the Qur'an then it all fade away

I have many of them if I sleep without saying any Dua' or AthKar or even do ablution


once I dreamed of black ants on my chest
I shouted very loudly and woke up touching my chest to see the ants

I hate it, but it comes when you were sad :(
so if you didn't want from that bad dream to come true , don't speak to anyone about that dream , or talk yourself about it :)

I had countless numbers of nightmares but they all must be kept for my ownself..actually I don't uasally tell my dreams and nightmares to the people even if those people are so close to me such as my famliy..and I alson think that there's no need to tell them to anybody

nightmare !!

I have had a lot of nightmares & they were horrible indeed .sometimes when i wake up after deep & awful dream i can interpret what that nightmares means or what it explains?!!

whenever we do anything bad ,some times nightmares come in your dreams to warn you from doing something or about something wrong going with you and you have to figure out what that about !!

NOT all nightmares are just from satan or devil ,, some of them are messages but how you can interpret them??!!

YOU will not have to ask about it if you are good in thinking and not always depending on others.
