Salam guys ,
I have a question for you
yesterday my supervisor was attending me
Her note to me was that you spend 20 min. on doing the homework. I tried to make her understand that it wasn't only doing home work it was also a kind of revision coz i connect the h.w with revision. she said if u r revising the previous lesson u have 2 say and now we gonna to revise the lesson
I thought she gonna appreciatwt i've done.
She liked the lesson and said honest and active but my class wasn't so.
By the way the home work was wordstudy,,,and i was asking about the meaning of the word and connected it with the reading e.g.
circle
what's the meaning of circle?
How manytimes do the pilgrimes circle the Ka'aba?
So What do you think?

What about the next 25 minutes? Could you finish your new lesson? Or Did you spend the whole class revising the previous lesson?
Spending twenty miutes revising a lesson is a long time. You have to revise the lesson within 10 minutes not more. The supervisor would like to be awared of what you are doing. So she told you to separate checking the homework from revising.
You can connect correcting homework with revising few words.
If the supervisor liked what you did, it means you did well. Nice work.

thanks for ur opinion:)
i'm teaching the1st year secondary stage
my lesson was unit 1 lesson 8(grammar revision)
3/4 of the lesson had done, i gave the worksheet before the end of the class and it's done as well
my point is that ,,, no need 2 revise the lesson the classic way,,especially that the hw work was wordstudy ,,while the students fill the blanks with the correct word ,,i'll ask them about the meaning and then go further in asking a question which connected 2 the word
I don't know,, I like my way :P
thanks again

thank u my sister for choosing our forum to share ur knowledge with us

as our brother Yafee mentioned above, u shouldn't spend 20 minutes for the revision and homework. It is too much as I believe.

In similar circumstances in the future, u might do about 10 minutes to cover both homework and revision of the previous lesson

furthermore, as long as u r leading ur lesson to meet its own goals and objectives, the supervisor shouldn’t bother to give such comments

that was just my opinion, wishing that it would meet any of your concerns

hi sister,
this is the same way i used to do with my class
and i find it very useful and affective
for our pupil
for the new lesson is too short and alot of time will remain
so ,it depends on the lesson and your way to present it
with my best wishes
