انا عندي مضطلحات وجطيت تعاريفهم بس اريد حد يشيك عليهم
1. Reduction to ground
to make the translation as if it was written in the TL by adding cultural values and making the translation so smooth. Reducing the context foreign style. The SL phrase is replaced by a TL phrase that services the same purpose in the TL culture, and the process here involves the substitution of SL sign for TL sign
2. Connotative meaning
The associated or secondary meaning of a word or expression in addition to its explicit or primary meaning and it is not shared and fixed meaning between all languages and cultures. It is emotions and feelings that a word creates
Mother Love, security, country or home (these are the connotative meaning of the word mother)
Take the word “mother,” for example. The dictionary would define mother as “a female parent.”, but the word “mother” probably creates emotions and feelings in you and it paints a picture in your mind. You may think of love, security, country or home. All the underlining meaning of the word mother is connotative meaning
3. Transliteration
it maps the sounds of one language to the best matching script (a system of writing) of another language. In other words, it is mapping the letters of the source script to letters pronounced similarly in the TL script,

4. Intra-lingual translation
It is translation within one language that means an interpretation of verbal signs by other signs of the same language. It is also known as rewording
