Standard language:
Standard language is an idealized variety, which is accepted as the official language of the community or country. For example, standard English.
A language is standardized if it fulfills the following criteria:
1-it's used as printed version in newspapers and books.
it's widely used in the mass media
it's taught in most schools.
it's the language of education and broadcasting in public contexts.
it can be described in terms of written language i.e. vocabulary, spelling, grammar and pronunciation.
-it can be taught as a foreign language to the non-native speakers e.g. standard English language.
When we talk about English language, it has many standardized versions. For examples, standard American English, used in the USA,
Standard British English, used in Britain,
Standard Australian English, used in Australia,
Standard Canadian English, used in Canada,
And standard Indian English in India

A standard language (also standard dialect or standardized dialect) is a particular dialect of a language that has been given either legal or quasi-legal status. It is said to be the most correct language of a nation.
