Begging
Begging means to request something in a supplicating manner, with the implication that the person who is begging will suffer emotional and/or physical harm if the request is not granted. As such, the term is applicable not only to individual persons, but also to groups.
Many people encounter begging when passing through public places, such as street corners or public transport, and encountering a stranger who requests money, food, shelter or other things
In many towns and cities throughout the world, it is common to see beggars asking for currency, food, or other items. Beggars often beg for spare change equipped with cups, boxes, hats, or other items into which currency can be placed and sometimes display signs with messages such as "Please help me. I am poor. I will pray for you." Also, another thing a Beggar may do is create some sort of fake story to make you feel bad for them, and to trick you into giving them money. Although they may be telling the truth, this is a largely used approach to manipulate a person into handing out money.

what should we do ?
Zakah
Zakah is one of the five pillars of Islam, a duty upon every Muslim and the right of the poor and needy. Allah and His Messenger () inform us that giving zakah not only fulfils this duty and helps those in need, but also purifies one's wealth so that it may continue to grow
One of the many benefits of zakah is that it helps provide a form of social justice: a way to redistribute wealth from the better off to those who are less fortunate. For this reason those that are eligible to receive zakah are precisely stipulated unlike the case of general sadaqah.
Almost all of Muslim Hands' work with the poor and needy, including orphans, widows and the disabled involves working directly with those zakah is intended to help.
Paying your zakah through Muslim Hands not only allows you to fulfil your obligations and rest assured your money is being given to those in need and in accordance with Islamic law but also allows you to support our work with some of the planet's poorest people.
