Steps:
A. To introduce school in Britain.
i. ask the pupils to open their books and read the passage and underlined the new words.
ii. Hang the poster. And point to the picture in order to ask:
xi. who is this? Ahmed Al-Ali.
xii. What is he doing? Interviewing a boy.
Do this with all pictures.
iii. play recording and ask the pupils to listen and follow the recording:
iv. ask them:
a. what is the British boy’s name? James Brown.
b. Does any one have to go to school in Britain? Yes ,they do.
c. How many schools do British children go to? 2
d. At what age can pupils leave school in Britain? At 16
e. What are the two kinds of school in Britain? Primary and secondary school.
f. Is there school in the afternoon? Yes , there is.
g. Is there always H.M? usually, not always.
B. To practice listening.
1. Ask the pupils to read the conversation in turns and pint to the pictures. Ask them to concentrate on sentences where the new vocabulary is used.
2. Finally, ask the to pronounce the new words and practice spelling.
