Me and the sea

While walking along the coast with unsteady steps that day, the beach was crowded, but it felt like I was alone. It felt like I lost the track of time and place.
Suddenly a gentle breeze taped my face like it is trying to tell me stop day dreaming and enjoy the view around you. Looking, I see dads flying kites with sons and young men throwing balls to each other and splashing water to see who can get who wet. You could tell how enjoyable this was to them not caring about the sequence. That’s what being a teenager all is about. Think only of the moment, never beyond. Looking on the other side I see a mom sitting on her blanket with a happy protective face watching her kids building a sand castle with a innocent laughs and loud screaming al fighting about who is going to put the final touch on the castle. All of the sudden, a kid screams, “I am the prince who will save the princess from the monster. Hold on my princess, I am coming to save you. I will kill that ugly monster.” I laughed so hard the tears came out of my eyes. I wanted to walk to him and kiss him to tell him please to never grow up and stay young and innocent, keep dreaming and always think that everything is beautiful but of course I didn’t. What will he think of me? A crazy stranger kissing a child?
I took a deep breath and started walking again. Little by little I started slipping back to my day dreaming losing the connection with the real world when a strange strong voice disturbed that moment saying here we go again. I looked around me but nobody was there but the people on the beach busy doing their stuff I said will maybe I am imagining and kept on going then I hear it again asking me where you heading?
