1. A teddy is generally close fitting, and the panty part is made in one piece with the top part, much like a one piece swimsuit. A teddy can be worn under regular clothing (which is an important point).
2. The baby doll is most often loose fitting, and the length runs down to about the upper thigh, covering the panty (when standing). Baby Dolls are often decorated with ribbons, lace, bows, etc., whereas teddies usually are not. Because it is loose, it would be difficult to wear a baby doll under regular clothing.
