The topic I'm about to bring up is a personal one, namely, what kind of gifts do women prefer
There always comes this special occasion which requires a gift to someone from the opposite sex, such as your mother, sister, wife ...ect
This is one of the most confusing things that I face sometimes. The usual formula is either a watch - jewlery - perfume - handbag, depending on the person and the occasion. but times have changed now and peoples' mentalities have changed as well. people here have even started to bring flowers as gifts (if i was a women and someone gave me flowers I would smile from the outside but cry in the inside, you know, diamonds are a girls best friend). and some would give an electronic device, such as an iPOD or Laptop

SO THE QUESTION HERE (espesially to my sisters) IS IF YOU WERE GIVEN A CHANCE TO CHOOSE YOUR OWN GIFT WHAT WOULD YOU ASK FOR

Nice Topic bro , but What men don’t realize is that buying a gift for a woman is not that hard at all. Yes, it may take some thought and that may be hard for some of you.......However, if I have the chance to choose my owen gift i would like someting expensive for example jewlery ,diamond .....etc
Or somethings i like it the most as my own favorite things such as
My lovely gucci,D&G and Lv handbags
my favorite perfumes as Alluer from chanel, another from cartier or Omega, Rolex watches etc..................... U have many choices>>>Sorry but U don't have any excuses

No matter what kind of gift doesn't matter as much as the person providing the gift to me
if he or she dear to my heart Of course, everything will be acceptable
and soooo nice Regardless of the type of a gift
But if it is necessary to answer
i prefer to be chocolate or new mobile

The reason I brought this topic up is that a very close friend of mine just got engaged and he is willing to buy somthing special and different for his feiance. The guys is absolutely nuts about her (she's making me jealous already). I'm going to direct him to this thread so that he can appreciate the wide variety of options available (thanx to u). But since the guy is so into her I'm afraid he's giong to buy every thing you guys mentioned here

flowers are indeed an interesting choice, and some of the sisters here suggested flowers too
Although I respect other peoples taste and choices in life, but to be honest, I just can't understand the logic of flowers, or in other words, the affect that flowers have on women. indeed flowers are beautiful and peaceful,and those who love flowers are genuine civilised and open-minded people, but I believe that flowers are associated only to a limited number of occasions, namely romantic occasions and when visiting somebody at a hospital
If I was a female who just got married or graduated from college and some one special gave me flowers on an occasion of this importance in my life, i would accept them of course and thank him or her, but in the inside i would say: come on man u can do better than that, just a bunch of plants on an occasion like this!? where are the rocks baby, as Marilyn Monroe once sang: DIAMONDS ARE A GIRL'S BEST FREIND

it doesn't matter to be diamond as long as it's neat and pretty

as for me I once given a huge beautiful gift
but I hate it

It is nice topic my brother

for me, I like perfume, jewelry and watch

but for wife I think the rose and perfume are the suitable gifts

in the same time the watch and jewelry are special because they are expensive

they are the most desirable gifts for us
