Differences between English and Arabic Sounds
It is very important to notice differences between English and Arabic.
There are sounds in English that are not found in Arabic and vice verca.
For example, the sound /p/ in English is not found as a distinctive sound in Arabic.
In English there are two sounds /b/ and /p/ as two distinctive sounds.
In Arabic only the sound /b/ is found as a distinctive sound.
So it is not only difficult but impossible to write the word pen using Arabic letters.
The same case happens if we want to write the name مخلصة in English
What happens is to try to find a way of representing the خ sound in English.
The problem is even more complex in the case of vowels.
How can we write the sound of the letter e in Arabic?
It is therefore important to realize these differences in the two language,
and not to attempt writing English sounds in Arabic.
