    salam alikum

    i will try to answer you though i know there are better than me

    the adjective that we know is funny . The comparative form of it is funnier . for fun : i think

    fun is a noun and we can use more with nouns because the rule in standard english is:1-use

    few or fewer with plural countable nouns
    such as few people ,fewer people 2-use little or less with mass nouns (uncountable nouns) such as little food ,less food 3- use more with both (countable and uncountable ) for example : more food o more times ...etc

    Hi evrey body ;
    I didn't hear at all about more fun .We used to teach our student about (funnier than & the funniest ) This is RULE.we can say circus has more fun because it's a noun. I think thisl sentence is grammaticaly wrong .funfair s more fun than school , please tell me about the book that you found it in .l

    I want to add something...
    WE CAN USE 'MORE' WITH NOUNS IN SUCH CONTEXTS:
    I have more books thanyou.
    Hence, we can say: I have more fun in the funfair than in school.
    BUT
    when we use adjectives in comparative forms , then it MUST be funnier than not more funny than...
    That's all

    Fun is a noun, so we use more or less in comparative sentences such as (a funfair has more fun than a school)

    But funnier is an adjective, so we change the final y into i then add er such as( a funfair is funnier than a school.)
