My mother died of cancer when I was 8 years old. I was fortunate enough to be raised by my aunt, something I will always be grateful to for the remainder of my life. However, there remains few images of my mother woven in my memory. I remember her singing softly while she was washing the dishes in our small dim kitchen. I remember the morning's sunlight falling on her face from the narrow kitchen window as she poured the white Tide powder from a plastic bottle originally intended for Sasa the table salt. It was her way in the old days of poverty to save the dish cleaning powder from being lost when the Tide cartoon got wet with water
The moral of my story is: live with your parents before you live with their memories only

I pray to Allah for giving us the wisdom and energy to please our parents. May Allah reward them for their kind deeds to us

I was moved by these words.I always try to express my deep love,respect & gratefulness to my mom.But no matter what I do I find it insufficient compared to what she does to us
She was away for the past couple of months & you can't imagine how my life turned upside down.Whenever she travels alone I find myself having medical problems,may be cause I'm the youngest & so attached to her
I always pray to god that I die before her cause life without her would be unbearable[/center]
