ثعلبة بن حاطب الأنصاريّ أتى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: يا رسول الله ادع الله أن يرزقني مالا فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "ويحك يا ثعلبة قليل تؤدي شكره خير من كثير لا تطيقه".

ثم قال مرة أخرى: "أما ترضى أن تكون مثل نبي الله، فوالذي نفسي بيده لو شئت أن تسيل معي الجبال فضة وذهبا لسالت". فقال: والذي بعثك بالحق نبيا لئن دعوت الله أن يرزقني مالا لأوتين كل ذي حق حقه، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "اللهم ارزق ثعلبة مالا"، فاتخذ غنما فنمت كما ينمو الدود، فضاقت عليه المدينة فتنحى عنها، فنـزل واديًا من أوديتها حتى جعل يصلي الظهر والعصر في جماعة ويترك ما سواهما، ثم نمت وكثرت حتى ترك الصلاة إلى الجمعة، وهي تنمو كما ينمو الدود حتى ترك الجمعة، فسأل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: "ما فعل ثعلبة؟" فقالوا: اتخذ غنما وضاقت عليه المدينة وأخبروه بخبره، فقال: "يا ويح ثعلبة" ثلاثًا، وأنـزل الله عز وجل: خُذْ مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ صَدَقَةً تُطَهِّرُهُمْ وَتُزَكِّيهِمْ بِهَا وأنـزل فرائض الصدقة.

كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ * ثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ * ثُمَّ نَظَرَ * ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَ * ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ * فَقَالَ إِنْ

هَـٰذَآ إِلاَّ سِحْرٌ يُؤْثَرُ }



Leave Me (to deal) with him whom I created lonely,

And then bestowed upon him ample means,

And sons abiding in his presence

And made (life) smooth for him.

Yet he desireth that I should give more.

Nay! For lo! he hath been stubborn to Our revelations.

On him I shall impose a fearful doom.

For lo! he did consider; then he planned -

(Self-)destroyed is he, how he planned!

Again (self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! -

Then looked he,

Then frowned he and showed displeasure.

Then turned he away in pride

And said: This is naught else than magic from of old;

This is naught else than speech of mortal man.

He (Ibn `Abbas) said, “Al-Walid bin Al-Mughirah entered the house of Abu Bakr bin Abi Quhafah and asked him about the Qur’an. When Abu Bakr informed him about it, he left and went to the Quraysh saying, `What a great thing this is that Ibn Abi Kabshah is saying. I swear by Allah that it is not poetry, nor magic, nor the prattling of insanity. Verily, his speech is from the Words of Allah!‘ So when a group of the Quraysh heard this they gathered and said, `By Allah, if Al-Walid converts (to Islam) all of the Quraysh will convert.’
When Abu Jahl bin Hisham heard this he said, `By Allah, I will deal with him for you.’ So he went to Al-Walid’s house and entered upon him.
He said to Al-Walid, `Don’t you see that your people are collecting charity for you‘
Al-Walid replied, `Don’t I have more wealth and children than they do‘
Abu Jahl answered, `They are saying that you only went to Ibn Abi Quhafah’s house so that you can get some of his food.’
Al-Walid then said, `Is this what my tribe is saying Nay, by Allah, I am not seeking to be close to Ibn Abi Quhafah, nor `Umar, nor Ibn Abi Kabshah. And his speech is only inherited magic of old.’ So Allah revealed to His Messenger,

(Leave me alone with whom I created lonely.) until His statement,

جاء في سبب نزول هذه الآيات: عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما أن الوليد بن المغيرة جاء إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقرأ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عليه القرآن، فكأنه رقّ له، فبلغ ذلك أبا جهل، فأتاه فقال: يا عمّ، إن قومك يرون أن يجمعوا لك مالاً، قال: لِمَ ؟ قال: ليعطوكه، فإنك أتيت محمدًا لتعرض لما فِبَلَه. قال: قد علمت قريش أني من أكثرها مالاً، قال: فقل فيه قولاً يبلغُ قومك أنك منكرٌ له، أو أنك كارهٌ له. قال: وماذا أقول، فوالله ما فيكم رجل أعلم بالأشعار مني، ولا أعلم برجزٍ ولا بقصيدة مني، ولا بأشعار الجنّ، والله ما يشبهُ الذي يقول شيئًا من هذا، والله إن لقوله الذي يقولُ حلاوة، وإن عليه لطلاوة، وإنه لمثمرٌ أعلاه، مُغْدِقٌ أسفله، وإنه ليعلو وما يُعلى، وإنه يحطم ما تحته. قال: لا يرضى عنك قومك حتى تقول فيه. قال: فَدَعني حتى أفكر، فلما فكر قال: هذا سحرٌ يؤثر، يأثرُه عن غيره، فنزلت

This certain Holy verse is actually a link or a complement to previous Holy verses which clarify generally the revelation reason of this Holy sorah .The reason of revelation generally illustrates that kind of addressing from Allah to those disbelievers who denied the massage of Islam especially the HOLY QURAN .They attributed The HOLY QURAN as if It was merely a kind of MAGIC

However, those certain verses came to talk about one specific person as an example of those who disbelieved the reality of the Holy Quran.This man was called Alwaleed Ibn Almogheerah .He thought about the Quran and came to tell that it was merely a kind of Magic.As a result, such verses were revealed against him and clarified the blessings Of Allah upon him which deserve to be considered .But he did not appreciate what was given to him at all
