hi ladies an gentlemen

we all should have a funny situation while using english of course
for me
once i was correcting the students' notes an i was so deppressed
i wanted to write for a student 'with my best regards'
but i wrote
'with my regret'
the funny i noticed that too late
an it was hard to take back their notes
i didnt know in which note i wrote it
an i said tomorrow i'll have their notes again
but that tomorrow was a vacation and i didnt back to that school again


that was my funny situation

Thank you very much for ur post.
Of course there are many situations regarding English usage that face us frequently.
Mine is not in a school! but in a hospital.. I went there to get treated of an injury.. after the nurse had made all the necessary preperation the doctor started the operation, but inspite of the anesthetic I felt a great pain. When I tell the doctor that, the nurse said ( I injected him with anesthetic but this man may a heavy smoker or a drug addict!!). I wonder why she assumed that Don't undestand English language. However, for their great surprise, I told her, With anger, that i don't even drink cofee. I didn't hear thier apologies, because the affect of the medicine started just after that.

hi everyone
i remembered a situation when i was 17
i just learned what the phrase'shame on you'
an i was so eager to use it
i was making some x-rays in the hospitlal
and there were a phlipino nurse and a house officer
(a doctor still in training)
and he started to speak and flatter the nurse
then showed his admiration about her body
and i was listening to them
he thought that i cant understand english
when i was about to leave
i turned to him and said
shame on you
finally i used it
but i was sad as that was not a situation i wished to see or hear
