Mention and comment on Helmer's reasons for wanting to dismiss Krogostad?
Helmer & Krogostad had been great friends in their childhood but now Helmer holds Krogostad in contempt in first place, Krogostad had spoiled his repetition by an act of dishonestly for which he could have been jailed if the matter had gone to the court.
This act of dishonestly of Krogostad part was an act of forged similar of that of Nora, while Nora has forged signature without realizing that is something illegal and against the law. But Krogostad acted that forgery knowing fully well what he was doing. Helmer had come to know of Krogostad act of dishonestly and had the form of law upon him.
Helmer had decided to dismiss Krogostad from his position and when Nora recommend Mrs. Lindy to her husband he make up his mind to dismiss Krogostad and apply Mrs. Lindy in his place.
Helmer has a second reason also to get rid of Krogostad, because Krogostad speaks to Helmer in a familiar manner addressing him with his Christian name. And behaving as if the friendship from their old days still between them. Helmer doesn't want that a man in supporter position especially a man who had been guilty of a criminal act should behave as if he were Helmer equal.
